“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love.”

St Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Welcome to the Catholic Parish of Ongar and Doddinghurst. The Parish of Ongar is a rural Parish, the most widespread in the Diocese. Although small in terms of numbers, in our case being small is an advantage and really does mean beautiful! Because we are small, people easily get to know each other. This creates a friendly & caring, family atmosphere. Small certainly doesn’t mean that nothing is happening! On the contrary, moving out of the Covid lockdown, we are once again active both spiritually and socially. Everyone is encouraged to become involved in Parish life in one way or another because involvement not only lightens the load but inevitably leads to a sense of belonging! If you are new to our Parish, please introduce yourself to Father Emile. You can be assured of a very warm welcome!
